Marketing McKenna

If you read my “About Me” page, you have already learned a little about me. If you have not, no worries. I love all things marketing. My major of study is communications, with an emphasis in digital marketing, advertising, and social media. I have loved everything I have learned thus far in school. I am always looking forward to learning more and bettering myself, especially when it comes to things I am passionate about. How did I decide this was my passion? I have always loved creativity, writing scripts, and editing. My friends and I would make movies growing up and even shared them with our elementary school classes.

With that being said, those movies aren’t my only experience in the field. I had an amazing opportunity to intern as an Account Coordinator at an advertising agency. There, I helped set up tasks for creatives, attended meetings while taking detailed notes, sent emails to clients, and even presented weekly social media trends and insights to clients. During this experience, I didn’t just learn about the advertising and marketing world—I learned something very important about myself. I realized how truly passionate I am about marketing and digital advertising. When that experience ended, I was sad but ready to keep going. I now continue my studies while also working as a part-time social media coordinator for my own client. In this role, I help build brand awareness, create strategies, develop content, and collaborate closely on ideas. I love it, to say the least.

As you’ve read, I am truly passionate about marketing, digital advertising, and social media, but you may be wondering what I enjoy outside of this field. Outside of marketing, I love going on adventures and spending time with my family and husband, as we recently got married. We enjoy living life to the fullest by traveling and working hard. I have a strong work ethic and especially enjoy putting effort into things I care deeply about. I also love the little things in life because, as we both know, life is not always sunshine and rainbows. Sometimes, that sunset or small treat is exactly what gets us through the day.
