What did you learn in your social media posts that you’d do differently if you could go back?

Blog

School has taught me so much, and I’ve been able to create my own campaign ideas, including a video script, social media posts, and the video itself. I truly enjoyed this assignment and had fun tapping into that creative side of me. I learned so much when it comes to writing, being strategic, letting the creativity flow, understanding the process takes time and doesn’t just happen in a day, and so on. Content creation takes time, especially when you want good quality content being put out there. There are many who do not understand the work that goes into a campaign and its social media posts, advertisements, billboards, and anything else the company is wanting to promote. It is amazing once you start doing content creation and strategy, how much you learn on time management, organization, and the thought that goes into it.

I learned a couple of things while creating my social media posts that I would do differently. I would have set a little extra time for them, as I spent most of my time creating the video spot. With more time, I could’ve edited the videos to be more eye catching than they are and to have more strategy behind them. With that being said and speaking from experience with social media; Social media posts always perform well when they have been thought about and strategized. Another thing I learned while creating my social media post that I would have done differently and will do differently in the future is to make the logo and product placement pop more. You can tell that I am wearing shoes and a sweater that is the brand, but you have to look harder for it. In the future, I will make it better by focusing in on the product placement so the audience knows what is being promoted.

Other than that, I truly enjoyed creating these social media posts and the campaign. Check out one of my social media posts I created for Nike. It was a video campaign called “Because That’s What Matters Most”. Let me know your thoughts in the comments. Tell me what you like and what you would change.
